As BMW Motorrad celebrates its 90th anniversary, the brand has been present at exhibitions and events throughout 2013, bringing displays of its historic motorcycles to fans in several countries. Of course, not everyone has been lucky enough to see these machines, or even have the chance to own one themselves, but with the launch of these special edition 90 Years\u2019 products, everyone can at least own a piece of BMW Motorrad heritage.<\/p>\n

Fans are invited to show their colours by owning one of these faithful reproductions of the BMW pennant from the 1930s. In the past, the original pennants could be seen proudly displayed inside and outside BMW dealer showrooms but these commemorative flags can be used by anyone today to display at events, on your motorcycle itself or just safeguarded as a collectors\u2019 item. Measuring 26 x 15.5 cm, the 100% cotton pennant features an embroidered BMW logo and can be mounted horizontally or vertically.<\/p>\n

The R 5 is considered by classic BMW riding fans as one of the very best of the pre-war BMW Boxer motorcycles. Quite simply, the R 5 was a sweet handling performer, backed up with an engine that delivered lots of rider enjoyment. Introduced in 1936, it was a technically-advanced, beautiful machine and powerful too.<\/p>\n
In the 1930s, calendars were a popular advertising medium even at BMW. The images from one of these typical calendars has been used as the template for an attractive collectors\u2019 replica metal sign. Enthusiasts may choose to fix this sign on their garage or workshop wall, while some may even get permission from their loved ones to put it on display in the living room! <\/p>\n
The eye-catching design shows the sporty BMW R 5 in all its glory and is accompanied by a working analogue hygrometer that allows the user to measure changes in humidity in the environment.<\/p>\n
